Synergy Security Successfully Completes ISO 22301 Full-Cycle Audit

Business Continuity & Organisational Resilience

Synergy Security Solutions is pleased to confirm the successful completion of our full-cycle audit for ISO 22301 – Business Continuity Management Systems, reaffirming our commitment to resilience, preparedness and the continuity of the services we provide to our customers.

For an organisation operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, business continuity is not simply a certification requirement.

It is an operational necessity.

Our customers depend on Synergy to protect their people, property and operations. Many operate within complex, high-risk and business-critical environments where disruption to security services can have significant consequences.

ISO 22301 provides the internationally recognised framework that supports our ability to prepare for disruption, respond effectively and maintain critical services when they are needed most.

What is ISO 22301?

ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management Systems (BCMS).

It provides organisations with a structured framework for identifying potential disruptions, understanding their operational impact and establishing the systems and procedures necessary to maintain and recover critical activities.

For Synergy, this means continually examining not only how we operate when everything is functioning normally, but how we continue to operate when it isn't.

Tested, Audited and Continually Improved

Successfully completing a full-cycle audit requires much more than having policies and procedures in place.

Our Business Continuity Management System considers the resilience of our operations across the organisation, including our people, management structures, communications, technology, operational resources and service delivery.

It requires us to continually consider questions such as:

  • What could disrupt our ability to deliver a critical service?

  • What is the potential impact on our customers?

  • How quickly do we need to respond?

  • What resources and contingency arrangements are required?

  • How do we communicate and escalate during disruption?

  • How do we maintain critical operations?

  • How do we test our arrangements and learn from the results?

This continual process of planning, testing, reviewing and improving is fundamental to effective business continuity.

Resilience Behind Every Service

Customers may see a Security Officer, Mobile Patrol Officer or Reception team delivering our service at their location.

Behind them sits a much wider operational infrastructure designed to support continuity of service.

Our 24/7 Control Room, operational management teams, national resources, communications systems, workforce management technology and established escalation procedures all contribute to our ability to manage changing circumstances and respond to operational disruption.

That infrastructure is particularly important when customers themselves are experiencing an incident or disruption.

When our customers need us most, we need to be ready.

Supporting Our Customers' Resilience

Business continuity does not stop at Synergy's own operations.

As a security partner, the services we provide can form an important part of our customers' own business continuity, emergency response and organisational resilience arrangements.

From protecting critical locations and maintaining access controls to responding to alarms, increasing security resources during an incident or maintaining 24/7 operational oversight, security has an important role in keeping organisations functioning during periods of disruption.

This is particularly relevant as organisations across Ireland place an increasing emphasis on critical entity resilience, supply-chain resilience and continuity of essential services.

More Than Certification

Achieving and maintaining internationally recognised standards is an important part of how Synergy demonstrates its commitment to quality, governance and continuous improvement.

However, the value of ISO 22301 is not the certificate itself.

It is the discipline behind it.

It means planning before an incident occurs.

It means understanding what is critical.

It means testing our arrangements.

It means learning from exercises and events.

And it means continually strengthening our ability to support our customers, whatever the circumstances.

Continuing to Raise the Standard

Successfully completing our ISO 22301 full-cycle audit is another important milestone for Synergy Security Solutions and reflects the work carried out across our operational and support teams.

We would like to thank everyone involved in maintaining, testing and continually improving our Business Continuity Management System.

As our organisation continues to grow, our commitment remains the same:

Prepared for disruption. Ready to respond. Built to continue.

Protecting People. Protecting Business. Supporting Resilience.
