Introduction
We would like to welcome you to the Direct Provision Centre. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with the following process and procedures. Should you have any queries please liaise with our representative who will provide support and assistance.
Visitors
All visitors please be aware of the following;
Visiting hours: 10am – 10pm daily.
When arriving onsite, all visitors and contractors must sign in at the Security Office at the main gate. Visitors and contractors are then asked to proceed to reception.
Visitors must notify residents of their arrival; the resident in turn will meet you at reception.
All contractors will receive an identity card which must be clearly visible.
All visitors / contractors must sign out before they leave site at reception.Visitor credentials must be worn at all times while onsite
Visitors are permitted only in designated communal areas (e.g., reception, dining hall, meeting room, or designated visitor space).
Resident bedrooms are strictly off-limits, unless explicit written approval has been granted by Centre Management or IPAS for exceptional reasons (e.g., legal or safeguarding matters).
Access to staff-only areas (administration offices, security posts, kitchens, or medical rooms) is prohibited unless authorised.
Visitors must remain with the resident or staff escort at all times while in the centre.
In the event of a fire alarm exit without delay to the designated assembly point and await further instruction.
Vehicles
All persons entering with a vehicle must be aware of the following;
Adhere to the onsite speed limit of 10 km
Remain vigilant as you are entering a residential environment
Only park in dedicated parking areas
Contractors
All contractors authorised to conduct works onsite must be aware of the following;
Access is only permitted within the designated areas
Access to restricted areas such as private living quarters must have authorisation of Management
In the event of a fire alarm exit without delay to the designated assembly point and await further instruction. Work Permits must be supplied and approved prior to works taking place
Child Safeguarding
IPAS operates an Adult & Child safeguarding policy for this accommodation centre to ensure the safety and welfare of all adults and children living here. Child safeguarding is a shared responsibility that requires awareness, respect, and strict adherence to site rules. Visitors must ensure that their behaviour is always appropriate and professional when children are present, avoiding any unnecessary interaction unless it is clearly appropriate and welcomed by a parent or guardian.
Visitors should never take photographs,
Record videos, or share information involving children within the centre.
It is essential to follow all access control procedures, remain within authorised areas, and comply with staff instructions at all times. If a visitor observes anything that raises concern about a child’s safety or wellbeing, they must report it immediately to security staff or Centre Management.
Fire Alarm / Emergency
If you hear a fire alarm sound or you are asked to evacuate:
Leave the building immediately and carefully by the safest, nearest fire exit.
Proceed to the nearest available assembly point.
Make yourself known to the fire marshals onsite.
Await further instruction and do not re-enter the building or your mobile home until authorised by the fire marshals that it is safe to do so.
Do not leave site unless instructed by the fire marshals.
Emergency Services 999 / 112 - Request Fire, Ambulance or Garda Response
Confidentiality
Photography, video recording, or audio recording within the premises is prohibited without prior written consent from Centre Management and the individuals involved.
Visitors must not share, publish, or disclose any personal information, observations, or interactions relating to residents, staff, or operations of the centre outside the context of the visit.
Any information learned during the visit is considered confidential and protected under GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and Irish data protection law.
Breach of confidentiality or failure to comply with these rules may result in removal from the premises and restrictions on future access.
