Synergy Spotlight - Esther Galeno
What attracted you to the company?
Since I arrived in Ireland, I dreamed of working as a security guard. Synergy is one of the biggest in this sector and this is what interested and attracted me to the company. I wanted to become part of their team however, I was not in a situation to take part in my PSA training personally, but Synergy provided me with the required training enabling me to achieve my PSA license. I was so excited when I was presented with the opportunity and I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to work here as part of the team.
How has your experience with the company been since you started?
In general, it's been very good. I've met a lot of people from different countries, providing me with great experience and learning to further develop my English language skills, which personally is of great benefit to me as I am not a native English speaker. The work is very enjoyable and rewarding as it requires attention and focus, keeping the brain active and dealing with members of the public I believe is very important for my well being.
How would you describe your team?
As I work part time, I work in various different locations and don't have a fixed team. But all team members I've had the opportunity to work with are always people whom are willing to help and make the job easier!
What do you think is the most interesting element of your role?
To me, 100% the most interesting element of my role, is knowing I am providing a quality service to our clients ensuring our customers feel secure and that their security needs are being met.
What advice would you provide to someone interested in joining the Security Industry?
If it's a new area for you don't be afraid to take chances! It's a great opportunity to learn new skills, and I believe that we never lose by trying. Every effort will be rewarded!
