Synergy Spotlight - David McCoy
When did you Join Synergy, and what attracted you to the company?
I joined the company in July last year. What attracted me to the company was both its reputation and the opportunity to broaden my knowledge into a different field other than retail.
How have your previous skills helped you in your current role?
The work ethic and attention to detail I have brought over from being a Retail manager has really helped me and made the transition easier, I feel if you are willing to work hard you can seamlessly fit into any organization.
How has your experience with the company been since you started?
I have loved working with the company since I started, from the office environment to the opportunities to learn new things and broaden my knowledge in different areas. Since starting as an operations manager, I have recently transitioned into a compliance focused role which is very rewarding and educational.
How would you describe your team?
My Team is hard working, friendly and focused on our organisational goals. It is also great to work with security officers who are very driven and seek to achieve the highest standards in their work.
What do you feel is the most interesting element of your role?
I think the most interesting part of my role is meeting such a vast range of people and that every day brings new and completely unique tasks.
Do you feel your work and efforts have been recognised? If so, How?
Yes I do, both verbally and with very kind gestures. I feel my work is being recognised and it encourages me to continue working hard for the company.
What advice would would you provide to someone interested in joining the security Industry?
Highly recommend it as it is so interesting and you get to work with great people. Whether you have previous experience in the Industry or not, it holds great opportunities and a vast amount of varied positions.
