Covid-19 Confirmed Close Contact / Case

Confirmed Close Contact

Should you be notified of being listed as a confirmed close contact of a person that has tested positive for Covid-19 the following steps should be taken:

  • Notifiy your Line Manager / HR department of the information 
  • Provide copy of the recieved notification and/or details as available 
  • Do not attend the workplace
  • Follow the instructions issued to you by the HSE 
  • Should you recieve this information while at work immediatly escalate and prepare to stand down from your duties 
  • Should you develop symptoms during the self isolation period consult your medical practitioner and update your Line Management / HR 

What happens next ?

  • You will be placed off the live roster for the recomended self isolation period 
  • The HR team will maintain contact with you during this period 
  • The Operations team will contact you to arrange your return to the live roster when the self isolation period has ended 
  • You will be entitled to Covid-19 payment during your self isolation period (Once you meet the government criteria) 

Positive Test Result 

Should you recieve a positive test result confirming you have contracted Covid-19 please ensure the following steps are taken:

  • Urgently notifiy your Line Manager / HR department of the test result
  • Provide copy of the recieved notification and/or details as available 
  • Do not attend the workplace
  • Follow the instructions issued to you by the HSE / Medical Practitioner

What happens next ? 

  • You will be placed on sick leave until certified fit to return to active duty 
  • The HR team will contact you to offer further support / EAP (Employee Assistance) 
  • The HR team will maintain contact with you to ensure you are doing ok 
  • While on sick leave you will be entitled to the Covid-19 payment during the illness period
