Synergy Security Solutions employs Area Supervisors who work in shift patterns so we can provide a 24 hour response service. This service can be obtained to perform regular patrols of your business premises or merely to respond to alarms or incidents. This ensures that your business is monitored and incidents dealt with in a professional manner, regardless of the time, day or night. Reports are available in real time and are automatically emailed to you after the patrol or the incident is dealt with.
We operate from 4 regional offices located throughout Ireland, providing national coverage and peace of mind wherever your business is situated.
At the end of the working day you simply set your Intruder Alarm and go home for the evening. In the event of an incident occurring out of your normal working hours our Mobile Fleet will be dispatched to your premises and deal with the situation on your behalf.
What happens if there is a break in?
We work with a number of local partner companies to ensure that we guarantee not to leave your site until the issue is resolved â€“ or you have given us permission to. From glazing to boarding, gas & electricity problems to Intruder Alarm failures, we will work with our suppliers on your behalf.
What happens if there is a false alarm?
Our Mobile Fleet will ascertain, where possible, the cause of the false alarm in order to prevent it happening again. The majority of Intruder Alarm call outs in Ireland are false alarms, caused by a number of things but most commonly open windows and faults on Intruder Alarm Systems. If we feel that your premises is generating an unusually high number of false alarms we will ask your Intruder Alarm partner to attend the site during working hours to work with you to solve the problem. In any event false alarms are always correctly reported and customers can download the latest occurrences through our customer portal.
Do I really need it?
Many businesses do not currently recognise the impact on their insurance should an incident happen. By employing Synergy Security Solutions to act as your official company keyholders, not only to comply with lone worker policies but business continuity will improve, as no longer will senior members of your team have to attend the site in the middle of the night.
With over 20 years of excellent service to the Security industry, Ken has extensive experience in dealing with corporate clients, both national and multinational, at the highest level. He has specialist expertise in contract negotiation, pre and post implementation management, TUPE and Security technology. He has also structured the company toward a diversified market and customer base and promotes the company’s ‘Deliberately Different’ ethos. Ken is regarded as a highly efficient and dedicated professional, with well rounded experience in the security arena and is a former vice president of the Guarding Division at the Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA), is a member of the Security Institute of Ireland and has also represented the Association at the Labour Court, during the Joint Labour Commission negotiations.
With extensive experience in Security Management across Ireland, the UK and America, John is well versed in all security related products and services, with a strong focus on client introductions, staff retention and overall team performance. He has written and spoken on numerous security related topics with both national and international media and held the office of President of the Irish Security Industry Association (ISIA) until 2012. John boasts a lengthy and highly recognised history in the Security Industry through which he has established a plethora of important industry knowledge and experience which benefits his clients. He has also been a co-ordinator and facilitator of the UN/NATO Advanced Commanders Counter-Marauding Terrorism Attack Course of the last number of years.

A dedicated and proficient industry professional with more than 15 years’ experience in the Private Security Industry, working at all levels. He has extensive Client Relationship Management experience. He holds a Diploma in Security Management to FETAC Level 6, is a qualified Security Trainer and certified Risk Assessor with the Security Institute of Ireland (SII). Shahz has led some of the largest national accounts and has deep knowledge of the needs of Synergy clients. He cares about how Synergy addresses the unique solutions and services required by our customers. He consistently focuses on a genuine team approach, designed to take our customers to a higher level of service. Shahz delivers a team-oriented management style, which has proven to be the perfect match for our Account Management strategies.
Having spent 30 years in senior management positions in the public sector, Sean joined the Synergy team in 2002. He is currently the HR Director responsible for all Synergy staff and client sites. He is well versed in all security related products and services, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Legal and Corporate Compliance. He is responsible for ensuring all aspects of compliance to applicable regulation and legislation are adhered to. A Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) and also of Business Studies, he brings to each contract his legal and business qualifications along with vast experience in Business Management. Sean’s role is to oversee the pre and post implementation processes of the group at the time of contract award.
Director of HR & Legal
A committed Security Professional with over 15 years’ experience in the industry, Eoin is a long-standing member of the Synergy Management Team. Throughout his tenure Eoin has excelled in many areas of the business, namely; recruitment and vetting, team leadership as well as contract management for many high profile clients. His wealth of knowledge, personable demeanor and organisational & logistical aptitude have afforded him many opportunities for growth within the company and he currently heads up the Operations team in the South West. Eoin is responsible for a range of operational and managerial activities that contribute to the overall effective functioning of the Company in providing an effective and efficient service to our clients. His commendable work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction ensures clients in this region receive the same 5* service that we provide nationwide.
Senior Operations Manager
Noel holds over 20 years’ worth of retail management experience, having worked with some of the world’s most luxurious and prestigious brands across Europe. He has extensive senior security and risk management experience. Noel spent ten years leading the security and loss prevention teams for two of Ireland’s most iconic brands. He is currently a member of ISIA (Irish Security Industry Association), Chair of Managers Board and focusing specifically on the guarding division. He previously held the role of Chairman for the Irish Loss Prevention Forum leading retailers to share ideas to help improve security strategies. Having managed large-scale third-party contracts, Noel understands what is required in terms of customer satisfaction and what it takes to exceed a customer’s expectations. Noel promotes the ‘Deliberately Different’ approach.
Senior Operations Manager
Bill joined the company in 2004 as a Sales Manager for the South West region. A skilled negotiator, with extensive knowledge of the security industry, he had previously worked as a Security Manager for over 20 years with a large multinational company. A strong leader of people, Bill was promoted to the role of Business Development Manager in 2006 and was co-opted to the Synergy Board in 2010. In the last number of year’s Bill’s role has diversified into the Industrial and Pharmaceutical sectors and he now manages some of our larger client contracts. He is a qualified SII Trainer, is a member of the Cork Business Association and has a wealth of industry knowledge and extensive client relationship management experience.
Key Account Manager
Colin joined Synergy from a leading international retail business, where he held the role of Department Manager for a number of years. During his tenure, security was a key part of his remit along with quality assurance, Health & Safety and Financial Performance. Colin has recently completed a Diploma in Business Management at Griffith College, Cork and ILM Leading Quality Improvement. He has extensive staff supervisory experience and is a keen advocate of Synergy’s commitment to employee engagement and retention through personal development. Colin is passionate about teamwork, innovation and customer service. He has brought those skills to bear across the range of Synergy’s industry sectors, and he now manages a number of our most high-profile contracts and is responsible for their daily security operations, ensuring best practice throughout.
Mícheál is a solution driven, experienced professional that, prior to Synergy managed a large facility in the Student Accommodation sector. During this period, he was responsible for managing the day to day operations of the facility, overseeing all aspects of daily operations, from financial management of accounts to maintenance & health and safety. He has also gained valuable, previous experience working in the hospitality and leisure sector as a Development Manager and Duty Manager. These roles have provided Mícheál with a strong background in Operations Management and Customer Account Management. He has extensive client management and staff supervisory experience. His strong work ethic combined with his notable project management experience and industry knowledge ensure that Synergy clients receive a level of service second to none.
Alan spent over 25 years in the Irish Defence Forces, giving him valuable experience in managing people, teams and processes. His broad skill set, proactive attitude towards people management and customer focus ensures that our clients receive the highest possible level of service. Alan is an excellent negotiator, possesses outstanding organisational skills and enjoys working to tight deadlines. Alan is responsible for the day-to-day Security Operations for some of our Cork based clients, ensuring best practice throughout.
Skilful in his field, with more than 15 years’ industry experience, Niall provides Synergy’s clients with a knowledgeable and experienced security professional, with a particular focus on customer service and client satisfaction. His industry knowledge and experience working predominantly in retail and corporate environments made him an ideal fit for Synergy’s Management Team. He has worked alongside some of the largest supermarket chains in Europe with great success and has also worked with major government parties catering to their corporate needs. Niall also has a QQI Level 6 in Team Leadership. Niall heads up contract management and day to day operations in the Limerick Region for some of Synergy’s Key clients. His local knowledge, unique interpersonal skills and wealth of experience in areas such as employee relations, client engagement and customer service ensure our clients receive the ultimate, tailored security solution.

Robert is a key player in the Operations team and currently manages a selection of high- profile client contracts across Dublin.
He has vast client relationship management and staff supervisory experience and a strong track record implementing and managing training and development plans for large teams of Security Officers. He has a strong customer ethos and promotes Synergy’s 5* service offering.
With a successful track record in both the financial services and manufacturing industries, with a core emphasis on service delivery and customer satisfaction, Ciaran possesses extensive client liaison and supervisory experience. He is a competent team leader and excels in training & development. His broad skill set, proactive attitude towards quality assurance & compliance and customer focus ensures that our clients receive the highest possible level of service.Ciaran is responsible for the day-to-day Security Operations for some of our prominent Dublin based clients, providing timely service delivery, contract monitoring and supervision as well as promoting personnel development and employee engagement.

Christopher manages some of our contracts in the Corporate, Retail, Healthcare and Government industries located across Ireland. He has experience managing large teams and implementing nationwide training to new teams. Christopher is responsible for a range of operational and managerial activities that contribute to the overall effective functioning of the Company in providing an effective and efficient service to our clients and currently manages a selection of high-profile contracts for the company. Sinead has a wealth of experience working as a customer focused, Client Relationship Manager and takes pride in surpassing client relationship targets and KPI’s. Sinead is an excellent communicator, possesses exemplary organisational skills and enjoys setting targets and working to tight deadlines. Philip has a successful track record in both Senior Retail Security Management & Security Event Management, with a core emphasis on service delivery and customer satisfaction. Philip possesses extensive client liaison and personnel management experience, is a competent team leader and excels in training and development. He boasts a broad background in operations management and project & risk management. Enthusiastic team player dedicated to process
improvements and staff development. His broad skill set, proactive attitude towards quality assurance and compliance and customer focus ensures that our clients receive the highest possible level of service. Philip is responsible for the day-to-day Security Operations for some of our most prominent Dublin based clients, providing timely service delivery, contract monitoring and supervision, risk mitigation as well as promoting personnel development and employee engagement.
Lorna currently heads up Synergy’s Quality Assurance department. She is responsible for ensuring all managers and staff work to the highest standard, in conformance with both industry-based Quality Standards and Company-established processes and policies. Her role includes streamlining operational procedures and processes that will increase efficiency and overall service levels for our clients. Lorna holds ultimate responsibility for the maintenance of the company’s Quality Management System ensuring the required standards of health & safety, quality compliance and accreditations are being achieved across the board. She is experienced
in Operational systems, Auditing, Client Relationship and people management. As part of her remit Lorna also has responsibility for the training and development of Synergy management and staff. Lorna has extensive client relationship and staff management experience. She holds a QQI Level 6 in Managing People.
Quality Assurance Manager
David joined Synergy after over ten years in management in the retail sector and originally graduated from University College Cork with a BA in Economics and an MA in Classical Civilisation.
With a keen interest in psychology and behavioural economics, David returned to University to gain a First Class Honours H-Dip in Coaching Psychology from University College Cork with a view to beginning a career in Human Resources. Currently a CIPD student member, completing a diploma in HR Practice, David is also completing a Diploma in Security Management with ISMI.
With a passion for employee engagement, motivation strategies and reward systems, David has been a valuable addition to our HR team.
A BA Graduate from University of Limerick and holding a Diploma in Business Management, Patricia coordinates Synergy’s recruitment strategies at a nationwide level and is integral in helping Synergy provide its bespoke services to its wide array of customers.
Patricia joined Synergy after gaining valuable experience as an Employment Advisor, helping individuals to find suitable & sustainable employment. Patricia has vast experience in interview training and interviewing techniques which is a valuable tool in her recruitment activities with our organisation.
Shauna joined Synergy as HR administrator in July of 2019 and has become an integral part of our team. With previous qualifications and experience in the beauty industry, Shauna moved to Synergy after 4 years experience as a Medical Billing Specialist.
Shauna decided to continue her professional development by studying Human Resource Management in Cork Institute of Technology, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in October 2019. Shauna is on course to complete her Honours degree in May 2020.
Her qualifications and knowledge will be a valuable asset to Synergy's HR team.
Charles joined the company 10 years ago this summer as a Security Officer, safeguarding manyhigh-profile client sites and properties. His ‘can-do’ attitude, personable demeanour and organisational & logistical aptitude have afforded him many opportunities for growth within the company over the years and he is currently heading up the Roster Department, a critical element of daily operations. Charles is responsible for a range of operational and administrative activities that contribute to the overall effective functioning of the Company in providing an effective and efficient service to our clients, in particular ensuring the successful management and coordination of all group and client rosters in line with all set down company policies and procedures and applicable legislation as well as overseeing the scheduling team nationwide.
